To the Editor:

In light of recent concerns regarding leadership within Columbia Engineering, the Engineering Student Council would like to make a statement of confidence in Dean Peña-Mora's commitment to undergraduate students. It is our firm belief that Dean Peña-Mora continues to maintain a strong and positive working relationship with the undergraduate engineering community. His commitment to the students has been upheld since he took office, and he continues to make strides to improve the undergraduate engineering experience. He has maintained visibility and accessibility to both individual students and student groups.

The Executive Board of the ESC recently sat down with the Dean and discussed strategies and initiatives to continue into the next semester and future. Moving forward, it is our belief that this support will be maintained, and undergraduate engineering will continue to hold a beneficial relationship with the Dean to improve our educational experience.
